Hello and Welcome!  I’m Sonia Stingo, Reiki Master, Sound Energy Healer, and Biofield Tuning student.  Many of us are familiar with chakras and the role they play in well-being.  But what is Sound Energy Healing and how does it work?  I’m glad you asked!  😊

My interest in sound healing began with personal experience.  Now a graduate of the Advance Crystal Bowl Healing Practitioner Program of the Rhys Thomas Institute as well as the Sound Healing Academy’s Sound Healing with Crystal Bowl program, I use crystal bowls and tuning forks to “re-tune”, “re-store” and “re-balance” your energy.  You’ve likely experienced running your finger along the edge of a crystal glass, with the sound emanating from all directions.  Now imagine a more melodic, therapeutic envelope of  healing tones from multiple crystal bowls in varying notes and octaves.  Their resonance is more than just meditative… sound healing is based in science.  Research in the field of sound therapy has shown that exposure to harmonic tones can:

·       Reduce stress hormone levels (like cortisol)

·       Lower blood pressure

·       Improve mood and focus

·       Reduce pain perception

Similarly, Biofield Tuning capitalizes on varying frequencies in the body’s biofield -  the subtle electromagnetic field that surrounds our bodies. The vibrational resonance response and entrainment that occur can induce deep states of relaxation, reduce stress and support overall well-being.

These modalities can be used together or independently to facilitate the desired effect, whether jumpstarting healing, speeding recovery, maintaining well-being, or unblocking an emotional hurdle.
